Doosra Delivery: Yet another learning 😇

Despite having watched Cricket during the days of Muthiah Muralidharan and Saqlain Mushtaq, I did not equip myself with techniques or intricacies. Till I watched the video (link given below), I did not know there was something called "Doosra" delivery. Though it is not an illegal delivery, it seems to be highly impossible for a bowler to do it straight. That is the not the point here. 😆

Teams (Sri Lanka vs Pakistan) played against each other. Srilankan Team had won the series but were stunned by the unique delivery of balls from Saqlain. As Muralidharan mentions in this video, despite being opponents, despite Saqlain being younger in age, and despite having won the series, it did not stop the former to reach out to Saqlain and ask about his 'mesmering' (doosra) deliveries. 

 

There was no ego in it and so was with Saqlain when he willingly shared his 'unique' technique to one of his opponents. On top of it, Muralidharan confesses that it took him three years to deliver it to perfection. 

 

 

 

Learning is a continuous process, irrespective of one's success or failure! And this process without EGO is wonderful to experience and to watch as well 😘
